Bidtellectuals Share Their New Year’s Resolutions for 2022

New Year’s Eve is one of the most exciting and refreshing times of the year. We all gather with family and friends to celebrate and reflect on the year, maybe drink a few too many glasses of champagne (just me?!) and eat an embarrassing amount of food. But when January 1st comes around, it is time to set new goals for the New Year. Check out what our Bidtellectuals New Year’s Resolutions are:

 

 

Happy New Year! I’m trying to spread more sunshine this year by giving out little compliments, whether it’s to strangers/people you see out and about or people I know… who doesn’t love a compliment! Bringing people more smiles, that’s the goal 🙂

One-Touch Rule: Always put things back where I found it: It’s simple, and yet I sometimes leave stuff laying around the house when the stuff has a little place in the home. Benefit? It reduces the “stuff” pile and I’ll never lose things (hopefully). I can’t take credit for this, I saw it on TikTok but I love it!

Give Back: I’ve committed to spending a few hours each week working with Second Chance Initiative and helping to spread the word of a great local organization.

Reduce Noise and Focus on What’s Important: I’ve always struggled with the power of “no”. I take on way too much and lose sight of what’s really important. And I don’t mean in the office – I mean personally. I’m always helping out friends with their side hustles and I love doing it – but if it takes away from my time with my family or when I need to focus on myself, then the answer is no.

  • Retail ecommerce will continue to boom in 2022! According to eMarketer, after almost 50% growth in ecommerce channel ad spending during 2020, advertisers increased those allocations by another 27.8% in 2021, and the same rate of growth is predicted for 2022. Not only that, the share of total retail sales that occur online has “jumped an unprecedented amount’ and will continue to grow. It is clear that businesses online are doing very well, so it is imperative for them to take charge of their growth by utilizing the resources available out there, from picking a supportive checking account (https://www.moneyunder30.com/best-business-checking-accounts) to building on their digital marketing strategies to reach a wider audience.
  • So keep making discovery content: eMarketer estimates that 92.6% of US internet users ages 14 and older will browse, research, or compare products digitally via any device at least once this year, making them digital shoppers.
  • Spotify has added clickable ads to their podcasts, reports Adweek. The new feature, called a Call to Action card, offers a visual, clickable accompaniment to audio ads. The cards then linger as an interstitial ad on the podcast page, the episode page and the now playing view when the episode is playing. The cards will live on those surfaces for seven days or until the campaign ends.
  • According to eMarketer, US Digital Ad spending is expected to rise 13.6% to nearly $240 billion in 2022.
  • Is this what Google was waiting for when it delayed the phase out of cookies on Chrome? The United States Patent and Trademark Office this week granted Google a patent that describes how its technology can attribute a click without using cookies, reported Mediapost.

Behind the Platform: What is Campaign Flighting? VIDEO

Learn about Campaign Flighting to optimize campaign planning and improve your digital ad performance in the Bidtellect DSP.

What is Campaign Flighting?

Flighting is the ability to define multiple flights (date ranges) that have specific budgets assigned to them within a single campaign. Campaigns then deliver and pace to the active flight’s budget and time range. Your Campaign’s Flight consists of the Start Date and End Date

What It’s Best For:

Fixed budget campaigns.

What Happens:

Within a campaign, you can create multiple flights or time ranges just by indicating a start time, end time, and budget. As long as they do not overlap, flights can have varying lengths of time and budgets. They can even be removed or changed as needed, and there can be a gap between flights in a campaign, during which no bidding or spending will occur.

Did you know?

Unused budget in a current flight can be used in a future flight. “Actualizing” enables more efficient use of budget and an ability to shift budget priorities based on performance.
