Scope of Privacy Policy
The Privacy Policy discloses the privacy and data collection practices associated with Bidtellect’s Platform (“Platform”). It addresses the desktop and mobile services that we and our affiliates and business partners provide to advertisers on Bidtellect’s advertising platforms and how we share personal information and data with our vendors and affiliates (“Service Providers”). It also describes the choices available to you regarding our use of your personally identifiable information (“PII”) and how you can access and update this information.
This policy does not cover data collected, used, or disclosed through the Bidtellect corporate website (the “Website”). For more information on privacy related to the Bidtellect corporate Website, please see “The Bidtellect Website Privacy Policy.” Additionally, this policy does not apply to the privacy practices of other websites linked to our Websites. Bidtellect is not responsible for the privacy practices of these other websites. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of those websites to understand their data privacy practices.
Bidtellect follows the industry self-regulatory guidelines of the Digital Advertising Alliance and the Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada.
Bidtellect also implements and adheres to the policies of the IAB EU Transparency & Consent Framework as part of our compliance with EU data protection law. See https://advertisingconsent.eu for more information.
The Bidtellect Platform
Bidtellect provides technology that enables advertisers and their advertising agencies to manage digital advertising campaigns across mobile devices, video, and display.
Our Platform uses data to make ads more effective and to measure their performance. Data is collected and used to ensure that the ads/content we provide are relevant to your interests and to measure the effectiveness of ad delivery, assuring that an ad is not just shown to a single person ten (10) times but provides the desired reach of 10 separate people.
References to the Platform throughout this policy only refer to Bidtellect’s advertising technology platform and do not include the technology or systems of clients or partners that use or integrate with us. They are bound by our policies when they use our Platform.
Information We Collect
Personal Identifiable Information (PII) We Collect
Bidtellect defines “Personal Information” to mean personally identifiable information (PII) about an individual, such as a name, address, email address, phone number, or other identifiers that permit direct or indirect identification of a specific individual or as otherwise defined by applicable privacy and data security laws. We also treat cookieID, Mobile Ad ID (IDFA/AAID), and IP address as “Personal Information” as defined by the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The Platform does not collect or maintain explicit Personal Information in any form and only collects and stores pseudonymous data, data that does not directly identify any individual. Names, email addresses, phone numbers, etc., are not stored within our Platform, and we prohibit our clients and partners from providing explicit PII to our Platform.
As part of our digital advertising platform and reporting Services, our Service Providers and we log page views and collect anonymous information about activities and interactions on the Website, third-party websites, and in mobile apps for the purpose of delivering ads or providing advertising-related services, including providing a specific advertisement based on a particular type of browser or time of day, statistical reporting in connection with the activity on a website or app, and tracking the number of ads served on a particular day to a particular website or app.
This includes:
- Unique cookie identifiers (cookieID)
- Mobile device advertising identifiers (MAIDs – IDFA/AAID)
- IP addresses
- Location information based on the IP address or latitude/longitude
- Ad measurement information
- Ad metrics
- Time shown
- Device/Platform
- User (cookieID)
- Website URL
- Mobile application
- User interest information
- Ad metrics
We work with Service Providers that collect additional data and non-personally identifiable information about users who interact with our Platform.
Pseudonymous Data
We may automatically collect pseudonymous data that does not directly identify you personally but is linked to your computer or device. We collect this data from you in the normal course of operating our Platform. This information automatically collected may contain information about your computer that your browser sends, such as IP address, browser type and language, access times, pages visited, and referring website addresses.
We may also collect information about your mobile devices such as the type and model, operating system, carrier name, mobile browser, applications using our Websites, and identifiers assigned to your devices, such as IDFA and AAID.
We may also collect your location information, such as your zip code or the approximate geographic area derived from your IP address or location positioning information provided by the location services and GPS features of your mobile device when location services have been enabled.
Pseudonymous data may contain cookie data. To understand more about how cookies are used on our Websites, see the Bidtellect Cookie Policy section below.
How We Collect Your Data
The Platform receives data in several ways, including the following:
- Bid requests are received from our supply partners on the “supply” (publisher) side of the advertising ecosystem.
- These bid requests contain information about the placement (ad real estate on the website or app), the device, the user, and sometimes location information. They also usually have an ID that enables us to match the request with information we may already have.
- Tags (pixels) and cookies allow us to recognize websites across.
- Mobile device IDs [MAIDs: Apple (IDFA), Android (AAID))] provides the ability to identify the device. We use these IDs the same way we use cookies.
How We Use Your Information
The Platform processes data both on our behalf and the behalf of clients and partners for purposes related to targeting, delivering, measuring, and reporting on advertising.
The combination of data (Cookie, MAID, IP, and audience segment) is used for providing our primary service of ad delivery for maximizing advertising effectiveness.
We use this combination of data to target the proper advertising through processes and determination of interests and behaviors in support of personalization of delivery of tailored content for Interest Based AdvertisingInterest Based Advertising.
Information is also used to improve a unique User’s experience across multiple browsers and devices (such as smartphones, tablets, or displays) by providing better-targeted ad campaigns to that User. We may identify a User on a mobile device and may want to provide similar content through other devices that are associated with the same user. To do this, we identify unique Users across devices, or we may sync cookies and identifiers with our service providers to help our Customers enhance their data and data segments.
European Union (EU) Global Data Privacy Regulation (GDPR)
Under the definitions of “Controller” and “Processor” in EU law, Bidtellect processing is in some cases as a Controller of data and in some cases as a Processor. Bidtellect is a Controller, for example, of personalized user interest segments that we create for our Platform when we have appropriate permissions to do so.
When we collect data for personalization from requests for ads we receive as described above, under EU law, we will use consent as our legal basis.
We process data for other purposes when we have a legitimate interest in doing so, and the rights or freedoms of individual data subjects do not outweigh that interest.
How We Share Information
We will share your information with third parties only in the ways that are described in this policy.
- Some of the data processed on the Platform belongs to our clients. When this is the case, our clients can take this data, such as records of advertising impressions, off of the Platform.
- We share pseudonymous IDs that we think might be related to other pseudonymous IDs with clients and partners.
- Some of our clients and partners receive bid request data through the Platform for advertising analytics purposes, processing on our behalf only.
- We may share data to investigate or prevent reasonably suspected malicious activity, fake traffic, or other activity that may harm our clients or us.
- We may use service providers that store or process data on our behalf.
- We may disclose personal data in response to lawful requests by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.
User Information Disclosure
Bidtellect may disclose User Information to vendors, service providers, agents, contractors, or others who perform functions (e.g., data analysis, fraud detection, or measurement) on our behalf.
Interest-Based Advertising
Through our Services, Bidtellect may provide tailored advertisements based on the User’s consumption behavior across different Customer Websites, browsers, or devices. For example, if a User visits a website categorized within the automobile industry, the User might see Automobile-related content or ads on another site. To tailor advertisements to the User for products and services in which the User might be interested, we employ the use of cookies, JavaScript, tags, HTML5, and other technologies that track the User’s activities online, etc., such as persistent identifiers, web pixels, pixel tags, flash cookies, user data files, locally shared objects/LSO’s, and clear gifs (collectively, “Cookies”).
For more information about how we use these technologies, please refer to our Cookie Policy.
We may also use third parties, such as data analytics companies, which are third parties that provide data analysis and consumption metrics based on a User’s visits to websites and the behaviors around that activity. This information will be used to adjust the targeting and optimization of advertisements to Users for products and services in which they have shown greater interest. Third-party ad network providers or traffic measurement services may also use cookies, JavaScript, tags, and other technologies to measure the effectiveness of ads in support of our delivery of ads. These third-party cookies and other technologies are governed by each third party’s specific privacy policy, not this one.
For questions about our collection and use of data for interest-based advertising purposes, please contact support@bidtellect.com.
Third Party Online Advertising
We may use third parties who collect Information about Users through their cookies, tags, and other technologies regarding their online activities, either on our Sites and/or other websites across the Internet, in an effort to understand User interests and deliver User advertisements that are tailored to User interests. These third parties include measurement, data analytics, and data management platforms that may collect information about when an individual views or interacts with one of their advertisements and may collect information regarding a User’s activities on our Sites and online activities over time and across different Websites. Like most advertisers, Bidtellect places advertisements where we think they will be most relevant to the recipient. One way to do this is by allowing the advertising networks with whom we work to place their own cookies when an individual visits our Sites. This enables the network advertising company to recognize individuals who have previously visited our Sites. When the individual visits a third-party website on which that network advertising company has purchased ad space, the advertising company can recognize the individual’s interest in Bidtellect and deliver one of our advertisements.
Cookies Policy
“Cookies” are data files stored on your browser or device to remember user preferences and behaviors over time. Cookies allow us to recognize your device and retain information, such as your preferred language and other general settings.
Cookies enable us to distinguish between, recognize, and store data about unique web browsers and devices and to store data on our servers for the advertising purposes described here. Bidtellect uses a combination of our cookies, combined with The Trade Desk Unified ID (TTD UID) and Liveramp’s Identity Link (IDL), to recognize web-browser profiles over time across sites. Typically, the combination of cookie IDs has a lifespan of 1 year from when you last received an ad from the Platform. This lifespan may be updated each time you interact with the Platform.
To be able to transmit requests for ads and other data about users or devices between sellers and buyers and to help show you ads that match your likely interests, we engage in cookie syncing, meaning that we match our cookie IDs to clients’ and partners’ cookie IDs.
Customer Options

Bidtellect is committed to providing consumers with notice and choice regarding online and mobile privacy. Should a User wish to opt out of data collection, please visit Bidtellect’s opt-out tool at https://bidtellect.com/optout.
Our opt-out tool is a Cookie that will honor a User’s privacy preferences for two (2) years or longer at our discretion. For clarity, under CCPA/CPRA personal information does not include de-identified or aggregated consumer information.
How We Protect and Retain Personal Information
We take security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure, or destruction of data and Personal Information. These include firewalls and encryption, internal reviews of our data collection, storage, and processing practices, and security measures, as well as physical security measures to guard against unauthorized access to systems.
If we retain data and Personal Information on our systems, we restrict access to data and Personal Information to employees, contractors, and agents who need to know that information to operate, develop, or improve our Websites, products, and services. These individuals are bound by confidentiality obligations through a signed Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and may be subject to discipline, including termination if they fail to meet these obligations.

We retain aggregated data, which cannot identify an individual or device and is used for reporting and analysis for as long as commercially necessary. We keep opt-out information for longer than this period to continue to honor opt-out requests.
