Bidtellect, a leading performance-driven DSP, and Bombora, the leading provider of Intent data for B2B sales and marketing, partner up to deliver 83% more clicks and 48% lower CPA for a financial services client thanks to contextual targeting technology.

OBJECTIVES

A financial services client turned to Bidtellect to drive landing page visits and chat bot interactions from users. Together, Bidtellect and the client opted to test the effectiveness of a contextual versus behavioral targeting strategy.

The team utilized Bombora’s contextual segments to complement Bidtellect’s bidding technology. The contextual campaign created a more efficient targeting strategy for the client – surpassing behavioral in performance and cost-effectiveness.

The head-to-head test highlights the power of context-driven cookieless technology as a performance tool, rather than simply a cookie alternative.

GOALS

The primary KPIs for this campaign were Landing Page Arrivals & Chat Bot Interactions.

SOLUTIONS & TACTICS

This financial services client worked with Bidtellect to test the e ectiveness of contextual and behavioral targeting strategies. They ran two campaigns under similar conditions: a Test utilizing Bombora’s Contextual Segments and a Control utilizing Behavioral segments.

RESULTS

The clear winner from both a CPA and efficiency standpoint is the Bombora Contextual Campaign (Test) over the Bombora Behavioral Audience Campaign (Control). The cost of driving users to the landing pages using the contextual technology was significantly more efficient than without, saving the client money and maximizing return on spend.

eCPC and eCPMs Efficiency:

The Bombora Contextual Test eCPC was almost half of the Control Behavioral eCPC. The eCPM was $2 lower.

More Impressions:

Due to these efficiencies, the Contextual Test Campaign was able to deliver over 38% more impressions and a whopping 83% more clicks by the Contextual Test Campaign compared to the Control Campaign.

Behavioral Cost:

$2,000 of the Behavioral Control Campaign spend went strictly to audience cost. That audience cost could have gone towards an estimated 400,000 additional impressions and 350 additional clicks.

Higher Landing Page & Chatbot Conversions:

 The Bombora Contextual Test campaign performed 48% better in Landing Page CPA and 19% better in Chatbot CPA compared to the Control Behavioral Campaign.

OBJECTIVES

An agency’s brewing company client worked with Bidtellect to reach consumers in a head-to-head test to measure targeting and retargeting capabilities against another programmatic partner.

GOALS

Over four weeks, the teams measured and compared CTR, eCPM, and Purchase Intent to determine the value of Bidtellect’s contextual technology in performance.

SOLUTIONS & TACTICS

Bidtellect’s unique AARDvark (Automatic Algorithmic Rate Determination) optimization tool uses contextual signals to automatically bid for the most efficient price on each ad opportunity, factoring in the brand’s specific goal types.

In addition to cost savings thanks to the automatic bid factoring, contextual tools saved on audience costs, further contributing to the lower eCPMs. Following efficient prospecting with a retargeting strategy brought higher conversion and purchase intent wins for the brand client.

RESULTS

While the two partners at first maintained head-to-head performance, Bidtellect’s cost efficiency, contextual tools, and retargeting capabilities ultimately well outperformed the other partner, resulting in a win for the client. Bidtellect won lower eCPMs, and, when factoring in the spend and purchase intent, ultimately drove a better purchase intent rate.

Bidtellect’s cross-format creative solutions, sequential messaging strategies and full funnel media KPI optimization helped this leading Telecommunications brand exceed goals across branding, consideration and new orders.

OBJECTIVES

The goal of this campaign was to implement a full funnel digital strategy that spanned across awareness, consideration and digital purchase goals. Bidtellect proposed a strategy across Video, High Impact Units & Native Display strategies to accomplish goals across the funnel, and tied together these strategies with sequential messaging.

CHALLENGES

This brand was looking for a partner that would help them target competitive subscribers, as well as scale in specific geo markets & zip codes. Bidtellect was able to help this brand target locally (zips), reach relevant users & exceed all full funnel performance goals set forth.

Creative Tactics: Bidtellect proposed running a mix of Instream & Outstream Video, as well as High Impact Rich Units for Branding. Native Display ads for their consideration and content to immerse the brands content within contextually relevant publisher environments, and Finally Native & Display Banners for the CPO performance portion of the campaign. Bidtellect’s in-house creative services team, [b]+studio, was able to produce and tailor creatives as added value.

Optimization Tactics: Bidtellect’s optimization algorithm was able to identify specific publishers, contextual environments, and audiences that were most likely to engage with their site and convert. The algorithm was also able to ensure the proper CPM bids were placed in order to meet and exceed all CPO, CTR & VCR goals. This brand also leveraged Bidtellect’s proprietary site engagement pixel to measure and optimize their media spend towards site engagement metrics for the content consideration tactic by using data such as cost per visit, average time on site, and low bounces.
